Danville fire chief’s former residence damaged fire

DANVILLE — A home owned by Danville’s fire chief was damaged by a fire Sunday. The alarm just before 6 pm for the 739 Grand Street home formerly occupied by Ken Strausser. Volunteers at the scene tell us, they were able to make a quick stop on the blaze.

 

Witnesses saw the house on a fire, volunteers were called and the second floor of the home is heavily damaged and there were no injuries at the scene. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. Some remodeling work was underway at the home. The home was still insured. (Deanna Force)
