DANVILLE – There is a fundraising annual charity performance put on by a local dance school dance school in Danville this weekend. Hidi Horikoshi, founder of Komotion Dance Program was on the 94KX morning show this week to talk about what Komotion Cares is trying to accomplish:
“Komotion Cares piece of it is there’s a dance performance in the evening, where out dancers from 3-18 (years old) will be performing on stage. We’re raising money for an organization called ‘Many Hands Helping Others.’”
Horikoshi spoke about what ‘Many Hands Helping Others’ does for children in our area, “They help feed the families in need in the Danville Area School District. They’re the kids that are involved in the district and their siblings. $100 feed a student for an entire year.”
Komotion Cares is this Saturday, November 4 at the Danville Area Primary School at 5 pm. The event is free, but monetary donations are accepted. (Sarah Benek)
