DANVILLE — The Danville Area Community Center has hired Nick Madey as Assistant Aquatics Director, a change aimed at gradually expanding swimming opportunities for families and athletes. The DACC is widely known locally for lap swimming, training, and competitive use of its pool.
Madey brings nearly 20 years of swimming experience and a master’s degree in sports management. He will work with Aquatics Director Becky Perruquet on skill development and program planning.
Future offerings may include adult masters-style swim classes, stroke clinics for competitive swimmers and triathletes, private adult lessons, and additional Red Cross certification classes. Youth swim lessons will continue, along with free swim lessons for all second graders in the Danville Area School District, supported by a local donor.
