UPDATE: Route 487 Open After Wednesday Tanker Fuel Spill

ELYSBURG – Route 487 is back open following a crash yesterday.  Route 487 was closed in both directions for several hours after that accident Wednesday afternoon.  The road was closed between Orchard Drive/Ashton Hollow Road in Franklin Township, Columbia County and Route 54 in Ralpho Township, Northumberland County.  The accident was described as a commercial vehicle crash.  The road reopened around 5:30 p.m. but heavy delays were reported in the area.
