Court Date Today for Man Accused of Murder in Sunbury

SUNBURY – The Daily Item reports a man accused of shooting and killing a man at a Sunbury convenience store in 2022 is heading to court today for a pre-trial hearing.  23-year-old Ajani Uhuru is accused by Sunbury police of shooting 30-year-old Kareem Jakes after an argument at the Penn Jersey Food Mart on Fourth Street. Video from the store shows Uhuru and Jakes arguing and then Uhuru pulling out a gun and shooting Jakes before fleeing the store.  Jakes was pronounced dead at the scene.
