MILTON – The Northumberland County coroner has identified a man killed in a car crash on Route 405 Sunday night. 54-year-old Mark Shallenberger of Mifflinburg was killed when his car went off the roadway just before 6 p.m. in West Chillisquaque Township.

Shallenberger’s car traveled through a cornfield and struck the corner of a barn. State police say Shallenberger was ejected from the vehicle. Northumberland County coroner James Kelley says Shallenberger’s death was from multiple blunt force trauma. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
