Construction begins on a busy intersection in Montour County

pennDOT logoDANVILLE – Work begins Monday on a busy intersection in Montour County.  PennDOT says a contractor will be widening Woodbine Lane at the intersection with Bloom Road in Mahoning Township.  The project includes the installation of stop signs in both direction on Bloom Road.

Flashing lights will be placed on the signs for four weeks after installation to alert traffic of the new stop conditions.  There will be intermittent lane closures on both Woodbine Lane and Bloom Road while the work is being done, with flaggers directing traffic.  The project should take about three weeks to complete.  (Ali Stevens)
