SELINSGROVE – As the Selinsgrove Area School District continues morning the loss of eighth grader Christopher Sensenig, the surrounding community is rallying to support Christopher’s family and friends.
This Friday, students will wear green to honor Christopher, after his father posted on social media this week asking for everyone to wear green, Chris’ favorite color. Selinsgrove Superintendent Frank Jankowski said, “ We have been in collaboration with Christopher’s family and plan to support this positive show of remembrance. Also, we are thankful for the supportive nature of others in the region who plan to show support toward Chris’s memory. Additional communications will go out to the school district community accordingly.”
The Mifflinburg Area School District has also shared this and is encouraging students to wear green this Friday.
Christopher died as a result of injuries from a head-on crash along Route 487 in Northumberland County Monday. Two other family members were also injured in the crash.
