DANVILLE—The Montour County Commissioners held their first meeting since the 2016 reorganization. Ken Holdren replaced Trevor Finn as Chairman for the current term. At Tuesday morning’s meeting the board announced that the State Department of Human Services has approved a $50,000 grant for a food purchasing program.
The board also heard from Bob Kuether of the Covered Bridge Society. Kuether was granted permission to paint the Old Keefer bridge over two days in the summer. Finally the board affirmed the resignation of Brittany Klesh as the Treasurer’s Office Clerk and voted unanimously to hire Bonita Hartzell to replace her. (Kory Kramer)
