HARRISBURG — Chuck Ardo is returning to the Attorney General’s office in a new position, just months after resigning, following the Kathleen Kane scandal. Attorney General Bruce Beemer announced Monday that Ardo will serve as a communications consultant for the office.
Ardo was previously the longest-serving press secretary for the Office of Attorney General. He served through Kane getting criminally charged, seeing her law license suspended by the State Supreme Court, and fending off a Senate attempt to order her removal. Ardo left after handling what he called “an unfolding series of crises that were just never-ending.”
Before that, Ardo served former Governor Ed Rendell as press secretary. He started work Monday, earning the same compensation as he had during his earlier tenure with the office.
