LEWISBURG — PennDOT and Safe Kids Susquehanna Valley will host a child safety seat inspection and collection event on Wednesday.
The event is from 10am to 2pm at the East Buffalo Township Building, 589 Fairground Road in Lewisburg.
Certified technicians will inspect car seats for proper installation and share important safety tips. Parents should bring their child, the car seat, and manuals if possible.
Used or unsafe seats — expired, damaged, or recalled — will also be collected. Organizers say about half of all car seats are installed incorrectly, and ensuring proper use can help prevent severe injury or death in a crash.
