Chief charged with huffing back off the job

FEAT_MAHONINGDANVILLE – First he was back on the job, but now he’s back off again.  The Mahoning Township police chief charged with huffing compressed air has been suspended again without pay.  Chad Thomas was reinstated last week by Mahoning Township supervisors, but now the new board voted Monday 2 to 1 to suspend him again.

Thomas is facing criminal charges for allegedly huffing dust cleaner while on duty in May, in the presence of other officers.  Thomas had been suspended without pay since he was charged December 2 by the state Attorney General’s Office.  Councilman Wayne Myers was the only supervisor who voted to keep Thomas on the job.
