Chamberlain Roup talks goals going forward

peggySELINSGROVE – Snyder County Commissioner Peggy Chamberlain Roup has announced she is running for reelection and she says that one of  her goals is to continue to take care of the children in the community, “One of my highest priorities is to take care of the kids.  It’s all about our children in the end.  Anything that makes the community stronger and reduces the need for government services is a win-win situation.  I will advance kids programs as I have, because I believe prevention is key to stopping the cycle.”

She also says that she will continue to make her voice heard by advocating for senior citizens, veterans, and those with special needs, “We must continue to provide compassionate care to our growing senior population, the intellectually disabled, and our veterans, that is our responsibility.  I advocate for special care and services for seniors, those with special needs, and all of our veterans.   I’ll advocate for CMSU and its community based services.”

Chamberlain Roup also says that she plans to steer Snyder County 911 and Emergency Management Agency to seek out funding sources to overcome reduced state subsidies and build a strong foundation for the future development of the CSVT.  (Emily Engle)
