CBS’s MacFarlane: ‘Don’t See an Off-Ramp’ for Biden Impeachment

WASHINGTON, D.C. – It looks like an impeachment of President Joe Biden is not only possible, but imminent.

That’s according to CBS News Congressional Correspondent Scott MacFarlane, who joined WKOK’s On The Mark, “(House) Speaker (Kevin) McCarthy keeps flirting publicly with the idea of an impeachment inquiry, which he says is a great tool, perhaps a necessary tool, to investigate everything they want to investigate with President Biden and his family.”

He says if an impeachment is made by the house, its unlikely the U.S. Senate would even take up an impeachment trial.

MacFarlane also says there is, in fact, is a special counsel investigating President Biden in a separate case, “His name is Robert Hur. He’s a Trump U.S. Attorney in Maryland who was appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate the (classified) records in President Biden’s possession. He hasn’t reported any criminal charges yet.”
