LEWISBURG — The Campus Theatre is hosting their 75th birthday party on Saturday. The theater in Lewisburg is celebrating their 7th anniversary with a day of free films, snacks and more. The day begins with free pizza and sweet treats at noon and 1 p.m. free showing of The Pink Panther.
At 4 p.m. there will be a free showing of the 1953 classic film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Then at 6:45 p.m. a cocktail party will begin with free cake and appetizers and a cash bar. At 8 p.m., there will be a free showing of A Fish Called Wanda and free popcorn. Donations are appreciated.
The Campus Theatre opened their doors on January 17, 1941. The Campus Theatre is one of the last of a dwindling number of single screen and art deco movie theaters in the county. (Ali Stevens)
