THOMPSONTOWN – PennLIVE is reporting… Cabinetworks, a cabinet manufacturer, has announced the closure of its production facility in Delaware Township, Juniata County, near Thompsontown.
The closure will result in the layoff of 310 employees, with layoffs starting in the two-week period beginning December 9 and concluding in the two-week period starting December 21. This follows a previous layoff of 110 employees.
The company filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry. Cabinetworks, which employs nearly 7,000 people across 16 manufacturing sites, is known for producing 18 brands of kitchen cabinets.
