MILTON—A Luzerne County Businessman is running for Lou Barletta’s soon to be vacant seat in US congress. Dan Meuser announced Tuesday that he will be entering the race to represent the 11th District. Meuser is the former Secretary of the state Department of Revenue under Governor Tom Corbett.
Meuser says he will be a consistent conservative voice in Washington, making sure that he takes the values of the 11th District to Washington every day, “I’m a constitutional conservative who will always put the needs of America first,” Meuser said. “I want to restore our broken political system by always working on behalf of the people of the 11th District.”
Cong. Barletta announced last week he was entering the US Senate race. Meuser says he will continue to support Barletta in his run for Senate. Meuser said, “Both Lou and I will fight for an agenda that puts America’s interests first and rebuilds the middle class so the economy works for everyone.”
Meuser also believes that the next Congressman must be accessible to the people he serves. Meuser will be traveling the 11th District visiting each county over the next two weeks. You can learn more about Meuser and the campaign at meuserforcongress.com. (Sarah Benek)
