MONTOURSVILLE – PennDOT has started a year-long bridge replacement project in Snyder County. The work on Route 522 in Kreamer is already underway with brush clearing and utility relocation.
Between November 2016 and April 2017, crews will construct a temporary bridge and roadway. Short delays should be expected throughout the winter while this phase of the project is being completed.
The removal of the existing bridge and construction of the new bridge will begin in April. The new structure will be 12 feet wider than the original bridge. The opening of the new bridge is tentatively scheduled for the second week in November 2017. (Jennifer Wakeman)
