Bloomsburg Man assaults Women in Lewisburg Hotel

Lewisburg, Pa. — NorthcentralPa.com is reporting  A 39-year-old man who suspected a woman of cheating was taken into custody on assault charges after police were called to a Lewisburg hotel.

Robert Kressler of Bloomsburg was arrested on Aug. 9 after police came to the Relax Inn in East Buffalo Township for a report of a domestic dispute. The female accuser told police she and Kressler were staying at the hotel when the two began to argue about suspected cheating, according to the affidavit by Patrolman Quaylin Rice of Buffalo Valley Regional Police Department. 

The accuser told Kressler she wanted to leave and went to the hotel office to let them know what was going on. When she returned to the room, Kressler was gone. A few moments later, he returned and kicked the door in. Kressler went into the room and allegedly grabbed the woman by the hair, head butted her, and threw her up against the bed post, according to the affidavit. 

The accuser kicked Kressler in an attempt to get him off her, and he drug her to the ground and kicked her as he threatened her, according to Rice. 

Police charged Kressler with misdemeanor simple assault, terroristic threats, and related summaries. District Judge Jeffrey A. Rowe set bail at $3,000 at 10%.
