Kym Best
SUNBURY – It was a bittersweet night for one Northumberland County commissioner candidate. Kymberley Best was elected to serve as a commissioner in 2016, but her running mate George Zalar failed to make the cut, “I realize I’m a minority commissioner, so I’m licking a few wounds tonight that I lost my partner and my running mate.”
Best says she is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community, “I appreciate all the votes that were cast for me and I will do my very best moving forward.” Incumbent commissioner Rick Shoch and fellow Republican Sam Schiccatano will be the majority commissioners when the new board is installed in January.
