Sunbury PD & Game Commission give bear ‘dart nap’

SUNBURY — Sunbury police and the state game commission were in on capturing a bear in the city of Sunbury Friday. The animal weighed over 100 pounds according to estimates, and was spotted in on Packer Street in the morning. The bear was tranquilized by the state game commission and taken to another location for release. There were no injuries and Sunbury officers told us the bear was as far into town as Fourth Street.
