NORTHUMBERLAND – The Borough of Northumberland is gearing up for a fun Memorial Day with the Shikellamy Acorn Little League ‘Tournament of Champions,’ but it will impact some boaters in Northumberland.
Mayor Daniel Berard tells us the Little League event is going to be big this year—starting at 12:30pm Monday with several food vendors and of course, lots of fun baseball for the players.
The very first block of Hanover Street, including the Hanover Street Boat Ramp, will be closed from Sunday night until Monday night. He says boaters will have to use the boat ramp at ‘the point’ near the Barry King Bridge.
