MILTON – The band will play–and march–on. In the Milton Area School District, a sigh of relief as the district hires a new Band Director. Tom Geggenheimer was hired at a school board meeting last Thursday night. Geggenheimer is the conductor of the Sunbury City Band. He’ll start immediately with a salary of 5,288 annually.
The first band practice under Geggenheimer is Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the high school. The summer band camp, that was postponed, will be rescheduled. The issue arose after the abrupt resignation of former band director Brett Hosterman July 20 after holding the position for nine years. (Matt Catrillo)
