Attempted homicide near Sunbury

attempted homicideSUNBURY – A Sunbury man is charged with attempted homicide after an incident at a home in Upper Augusta Township Wednesday evening.  State police say 63-year-old Bob Snyder Jr. was involved in a domestic incident with a woman at a home in Upper Augusta Township around 6:45 p.m.

 

Troopers say he assaulted the woman before pulling out a .357 magnum and threatening to kill her and then himself.  A struggle for the weapon ensued and one round was fired, but no one was hit by the bullet.  State police say the woman was able to get control of the gun and fled the residence with it.

 

Snyder was arrested and arraigned and sent to the Snyder County Prison on $300,000 cash bail.  The woman sustained a minor injury to her arm and face.  (Ali Stevens)
