SUNBURY – A several hundred Sunbury residents are began the day without power. A PPL spokeswoman tells WKOK 648 customers lost power just before 5:30 a.m. Friday morning due to a blown fuse or tripped breaker. PPL says within two minutes, 648 customers were restored thanks to smart grid technology. Power was then restored for 217 remaining customers by 10 a.m. Friday. An exact cause is still being determined.
