SUNBURY — A second Sunbury police officer is being investigated for improper conduct. Sunbury Mayor David Persing tells us accusations have been made about an officer using city equipment during working hours improperly. He says the investigation continues, but would not give any more details.
This comes after another officer was being investigated for allegedly harassing a female employee at the Northumberland County 911 Center. Persing says since this is a personnel matter, it is not city policy to release the officers names. He says more information on the investigations may be available by the end of the week.
