MONTOURSVILLE – Super Load moves continue next week in Snyder and Northumberland counties. PennDOT says the moves are scheduled each night from Sunday, July 24 through Friday, July 29.
As with previous moves, the Super Loads will move from Susquehanna Rail Works in Lower Augusta Township to the power plant at Hummels Station in Monroe Township. The travel route is Route 147 to the Veterans Memorial Bridge to Routes 11 and 15 and then the Old Trail. These roads are closed to traffic while the Super Load is moving between 10 p.m and 2 a.m.
The carrier then returns to Susquehanna Rail Works between 4 a.m and 6 a.m. Motorists should be alert and careful during these time frames. (Alex Reichenbach)
