Accidents across The Valley

accidentUNDATED — Several accidents are being reported across The Valley Tuesday afternoon and evening.   Emergency responders are reminding motorists to slow down and use caution.  They recommend avoiding travel if possible.  Motorists are reporting very slippery conditions in Northumberland, Snyder, Union, Montour and Columbia Counties.

Among the reported accidents was a crash on Route 35 between South Street and Middle Creek Road in Snyder County.  The accident reported around 7:30p.m. was reportedly blocking traffic.  Snyder County Communications also reported an accident at Route 35 and Produce Road in Washington Township.  The accident was reported around 6:15p.m. and was said to involve a tractor trailer and an injury has been reported.

Northumberland County Communications report an accident on Route 225 at Amish School Road around 3:00p.m.  A person was said to be trapped inside a vehicle.  No serious injuries were reported.  Another accident was reported around 6:15p.m. on Route 61 in Coal Township.

Snyder County Communications reported an accident at Route 35 and Produce Road in Washington Township.  The accident was reported around 6:15p.m. and was said to involve a tractor trailer and an injury has been reported.

Union County Communications tell us an accident happened on the New Berlin Highway in New Berlin around 5:00p.m.  Another accident was reported 1:00p.m. on 180 near Sulpher Springs Road.  Several vehicles were said to be involved.  No word on injuries.

Columbia County Firewire is reporting multiple accidents including one on Route 118 and one on Route 93 around 5:00p.m.
