LEWISBURG – A Milton man was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle along Route 15. Milton state police say the accident occurred Friday just after 3 a.m. along Route 15 in White Deer Township, Union County.
Troopers say 38-year-old Ulberto Baez was walking along Route 15 south when a vehicle struck him from behind, throwing him under the guide rail. State police say Baez suffered serious injuries.
A spokeswoman at Evangelical Community hospital says Baez was taken there but was transferred to Geisinger. No additional treatment information is available from Geisinger. The driver and passenger inside the vehicle were not injured. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and its unknown if the passenger was wearing one.
