Valley man participated in France’s Armistice Day ceremonies Sunday

PARIS, FRANCE – A Valley native was one of the many U.S. military soldiers and cadets who participated in Sunday’s Armistice Day activities in Paris, France. Chance Kremer was part of the U.S. armed services presence; he is a U.S. Military Academy cadet at West Point and is currently studying in France this semester.

He is the son of Joe Kremer and his grandmother is Sunbury community leader Beth Kremer. Sunday’s ceremonies marked the 100-year Anniversary of the ending of World War I.

Beth Kremer says her grandson told her he didn’t meet any heads-of-state, as they were in a different area, but he did meet General Mark Milley, the Chief-of-Staff of the U.S. Army, and General Wolters, the Commander of U.S. Air Forces, Europe.  He also received a challenge coin from each General.

Beth Kremer has provided some pictures from Paris and we have those posted at WKOK.com.
