MONTOURSVILLE – Plenty of Super Loads will be moving this week in Snyder and Northumberland Counties. PennDOT says Super Loads are scheduled to move every night this week, Monday through Friday.
The Super Loads move from Susquehanna Rail Works in Lower Augusta Township to the power plant at Hummels Station in Monroe Township. The travel route is Route 147 to the Veterans Memorial Bridge to Routes 11 and 15 and then the Old Trail. These roads are closed to traffic while the Super Load is moving between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.
The carrier then returns to Susquehanna Rail Works between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists should be careful during these time frames. (Ali Stevens)
