Route 15 Open After Fatal Wreck Kills Williamsport Driver
ALLENWOOD – A traffic accident in Lycoming County claimed the life of a Williamsport man. The Friday morning crash involved a garbage truck on Route 15 in Clinton Township, Lycoming County.
James Haddix was fatally injured when his vehicle collided with a southbound garbage truck making a U-turn around 5 a.m., according to state police. Haddix, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died from blunt force trauma, according to Lycoming County Coroner Charles Kiessling Jr.
The truck driver, Larry Sauers of Montgomery, and passenger Logan Sauers were uninjured. Route 15 between Routes 54 and 44 was closed for several hours.
