DANVILLE — 
Geisinger honored local veterans by serving approximately 2,500 free meals during drive-through appreciation dinners held across 11 locations last Thursday. The event aimed to thank U.S. military veterans and their guests for their service.
Meals were distributed at Geisinger sites in Bloomsburg, Danville, Jersey Shore, Lewistown, Mifflintown, Muncy, Pittston, Scranton, Shamokin, State College, and Wilkes-Barre.
Geisinger issued a statement saying executive leaders, regional teams, and volunteers were on hand to personally deliver meals, “Offering smiles and words of gratitude.” In some locations, veterans received handmade cards from local students.
