SELINSGROVE – Donald Housley, a distinguished professor and author from Selinsgrove, died over the weekend from crash injuries sustained a week ago. Housley, 84, was a retired history professor at Susquehanna University, had been in critical condition in intensive care at Geisinger after the wreck on Route 15 at Grangers Road last Thursday afternoon.
Housley was well-respected for his exhaustive research and detailed historical writings, including notable works on Susquehanna University and Geisinger. His contributions to academia and the community will be deeply missed.
