Man Arrested After Fight with Troopers, Standard Journal

MILTON — The Standard-Journal is reporting… A Turbot Township man has been charged with ‘felony flight to avoid apprehension’ after allegedly fighting with state police troopers who were attempting to take him into custody.

56-year-old Silvestre Cota, of Fort Boone Campground, was charged as the result of an alleged incident which occurred at 4pm  Aug. 30 at the campground, on Route 405.

Police say he was unruly and uncooperative with the theft investigation and continued to yell obscenities at state police. There was also an active arrest warrant out for him.

Troopers used a electic shock device to stop him but they say he continued to resist. Cota was jailed, $10,000 bail.
