HARRISBURG – Some Valley municipalities will benefit from an announcement Thursday.
PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll said that 73 municipalities will receive over $30 million to support traffic signal upgrades, “Green Light-Go” hopes to relieve congestion and improve traffic flow.
Snyder County’s Monroe Township will receive $1.02 million for upgrades at the Routes 11 & 15 intersection (at the W & L Nissan), at Lori Lane, and Park Road. Also, Route 15 at Sunbury Road lights will be upgraded.
And in Union County, nearly $600,000 will fund the modernization of the signals at Route 15 and Loan Road, and at the Walter Drive intersection.
Lewisburg received funding for upgrades of the lights at Market and Second Streets, Third, Fourth and Seventh Streets. According to the state, Milton will receive more than $400,000 for the intersection of Broadway and Turbot Avenue.
