LEWISBURG – Get ready to move for a cause! The fifth annual Nine Miles for Nine Lives Fitness Challenge, hosted by Cherished Cats Rescue Alliance and The Scratching Post cat café in Lewisburg, is set for the entire month of August.
Participants are invited to walk, run, or bike over nine miles, either all at once or in stages throughout the month. Registration is now open on The Scratching Post’s website with a $25 fee.
Upon registering, participants can create a personal fundraiser on Facebook, inviting friends and family to sponsor their miles and boost donations for the rescue. Funds raised will go towards vaccinations, treatments, food, litter, toys, and the trap-neuter-return program to control feral cat populations in the Susquehanna Valley.
