SELINSGROVE – NorthcentralPA.com is reporting… Family and friends can celebrate sobriety as a special swim event later this month in Selinsgrove. Susquehanna Valley Mediation (SVM) is holding a “Sober Swim Night” on June 29 at the Selinsgrove Community Pool.
This event is part of their newest program Families in Recovery in Union and Snyder counties, which takes a whole family and community approach to addiction and recovery. Shawnee Robel, Families in Recovery program director for SVM, said, “Families in Recovery will be providing free monthly activities to people in recovery and their families and friends.”
He said it’s an opportunity for families affected by addiction to enjoy a safe, sober place to relax and have fun together as well as connect with other families in recovery. The event will be held from 7-9 p.m., offering a fun-filled evening for all attendees. Activities include swimming, music, and yard games.
