DANVILLE — The Daily Item is reporting today…lots of parents and some staff at Danville schools are upset about a planned job change for a beloved Danville School District principal.
The newspaper say several community members Tuesday evening asked the board and school administrators to reconsider the transfer of Megan Geise from elementary school principal to elementary school teacher.
Parents say Geise was told she was forced, she needed to step down or receive a negative review at the end of the year. The transfer was approved by a 5-4 vote.
School Board President Sandy Green said the board was satisfied with the evidence that the change to teacher from principal was not a forced move. Geise did not comment on the matter.
