ALLENTOWN – Another day without electricity for some homes in our part of the state.
PPL is reporting thousands of their customers still don’t have power after Tuesday’s snowstorm. They say by Thursday, nearly all of the homes and businesses will have power restored. In our Valley, over 1,800 customers don’t have electricity, and in Schuylkill County, the number is over 10,000.
Regionwide, in their entire service area, PPL says they have about 8,700 outages:

The head of PPL said they have all-hands on deck, they’ve brought in additional crews, and they are working around the clock. They say hundreds of additional line and forestry workers to help their thousands of personnel responding to the storm.
