PA Headlines: Game Commission Uses Sting to Nab Drone Violator

HARRISBURG – The state Game Commission says they are charging a drone operator with violating state game laws. They say Joshua Wingenroth of Downingtown is accused of an incident earlier this month in Lancaster County where they say he used a drone aircraft to locate an antlered deer during the rifle deer season.

Published reports say he was charged with two counts of using an illegal device and one count each of disturbing deer with a spotlight. The Game Commission used an undercover sting operation to catch Wingenroth. They say he could serve three months in jail if convicted of the crime and sentenced to the maximum amount of jail time.

HARRISBURG – Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate continued to remain at a record low according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry’s monthly unemployment situation report. Erie.com is reporting… The November unemployment rate remained at a record-low 3.4 percent from October through November.

The unemployment rate is also one full percentage point lower than Nov. 2022 level of 4.4 percent. Nationally, the unemployment rate decreased slightly by two-tenths of a percent to 3.7% but up one-tenth of a percent from last year.

LANCASTER – PennLive is reporting… Fulton Bank has announced that it has named a longtime employee as its next president.  Angela Snyder will become president of Fulton Bank on Jan. 1.  Snyder has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and has served as Fulton Bank’s chief banking officer since 2022.

She joined Fulton Bank in 2002 as president of Woodstown National Bank and then served as chairwoman, president and CEO of Fulton Bank of New Jersey until 2019.  Fulton Bank is based in Lancaster and has approximately 3,300 employees and operates more than 200 branches in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Virginia. Fulton Bank was founded in 1882.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Pop superstar Taylor Swift walked into Arrowhead Stadium alongside Santa Claus on Monday to watch her boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce as they played the Las Vegas Raiders in a Christmas Day showdown.

Swift and Kelce have become one of the hottest celebrity couples in the world since they began dating early in the season, and the 12-time Grammy Award-winner has watched her boyfriend numerous times at Arrowhead Stadium.

This time she showed up in a festive red shirt under a black jacket with St. Nick by her side. Swift wasn’t the only celebrity in Arrowhead Stadium on Monday. Iowa basketball star Caitlin Clark, the reigning AP women’s player of the year, was on the sideline for pregame warmups. She swapped jerseys with Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice.
