Sunbury Mother of Four Grateful for Here. For Good

Here. For Good.

The Daily Item reports….A single mother of four is grateful for the Here. For Good. program, and said she would love to be able to give back one day.

Marquita, of Sunbury, said she was grateful to the program for everything they did for her family, including her 6-year-old twins, and other two children.

“This program has been so helpful to us,” she said. “We appreciate everything they have done, from the meals to the Christmas presents.”

Marquita said if she is ever in a position to give back to the campaign, she will.

“Absolutely, I would donate to this fund,” she said. “They have all been very great to us.”

The Here. For Good. Campaign is a continuation of the Needy Family Fund which has raised more than $3.45 million since 1987 during the holiday season to help the Valley’s families.

This year’s goal is $250,000. Today’s total is $210,000.

Recent donations have been received from: Gerald and Nancy Weslosky of Lewisburg, $100; Joyce Bollinger, Winfield, in memory of Carl Anderson and John Bollinger, $50 and $275 in anonymous donations.

The campaign is administered by Salvation Army citadels in Milton and Sunbury and sponsored by The Daily Item, Sunbury Broadcasting Corp. and Mifflinburg Bank & Trust.

Donors can make checks payable to Here. For Good. Campaign and mail or drop them off at any location of program cosponsor Mifflinburg Bank & Trust.
