UPDATE: As of 7am, PennDOT says Route 147 is reopened.
HERNDON — A car vs. tree incident in Lower Northumberland County caused Route 147 to be closed for a time Friday morning.
PennDOT is doing their final clean-up at the scene right now. Northumberland County 9-1-1 tells us the crash happened around 4am a car vs. downed tree in the area of the Jackson Township/Lower Augusta Township. One person was injured.

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that both lanes of Route 147 are closed between Route 3006 (Herndon Bypass Road) and Boyles Run Road in Lower Augusta Township, Northumberland County, due to a vehicle crash. A detour using local roads is in place. Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel and drive with caution.
