SUNBURY – The Greater Susquehanna Valley United Way’s United in Recovery is holding two recovery month events this week; a naloxone giveaway, and a symposium.
The regional United Way first holds the free naloxone giveaway Thursday noon to 1pm at the Columbia/Montour County office, 36 Main Street in Bloomsburg. They say they hold these events monthly, with the goal of distributing the life saving opium overdose reversing drug.
A ‘Recovery Symposium’ is set for Friday 9am to noon at the Miller Center in Lewisburg. Open to the public, the event will feature a panel of experts, resources will be available and they say the goal is to increase awareness. More information at www.gsvuw.org.
