EAST CAMERON TOWNSHIP — A Paxinos woman has been arrested for delivering 10 bags of heroin to an East Cameron Township man who was found dead in his home in 2020. According to reports, police said that 41 year old Melanie J. Guinther, is charged with counts of delivering heroin, a felony of criminal use of a communication facility, and a misdemeanor of possessing an instrument of crime. Guinther was arraigned on the charges Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge William Cole, of Mount Carmel, who committed her to Northumberland County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail.
In an affidavit of probable cause, Reiner said state police requested Facebook records of Joseph Collier, who was found dead in his bedroom on December 7th of 2020. Police said multiple drug and drug paraphernalia items and Collier’s cellphone were discovered in close proximity of the victim. On January 16, 2021, Reiner received records from Facebook Inc. that revealed Guinther and Collier had several drug-related conversations. {Deanna Force}
ELYSBURG — The News Item is reporting… A New Jersey man, who police say is a top trap shooter at the national level, has been charged with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old female last year at the Pennsylvania State Shotgunning Association (PSSA) grounds on Monastery Road in Elysburg.
The News Item said that Officials report that 63 year old Robert W. Malmstedt, was arraigned on sexual assault by a sports official, volunteer or employee of a nonprofit association and unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and indecent assault, and a summary of harassment. Malmstedt was sent to Northumberland County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail, but he was released two hours later after posting bail. He is scheduled to face a preliminary hearing on the charges on August 31st. {Deanna Force}
