ELYSBURG – Volunteer firefighters from three counties converged on a house fire in Northumberland County Friday afternoon.
Northumberland County 9-1-1 tells us more than 10 volunteer fire companies joined local police on Alpha Avenue in Ralpho Township in response to a yard fire that had spread to a home. The fire was reported just after 2 p.m.
They said fire crews from Elysburg, Overlook, Stonington, Coal Township, Shamokin, Kulpmont, Sunbury and Columbia and Montour counties had the scene officially cleared by 4:30 p.m.
