Gas Prices Down 8.1 cents/Gallon
HARRISBURG – Average gasoline prices statewide have fallen 8.1 cents per gallon in the last week according to GasBuddy.com’s survey of thousands of gas stations in Pennsylvania.
Gas prices average $4.37 per gallon in Pennsylvania that is 42 cents lower than a month ago and still more than a dollar more per gallon than a year ago.
Good news for truckers, the national average for diesel fuel is down 13.1 cents in the last week at $5.14 per gallon.
“The national average is poised to fall back under $4.00 per gallon as early as today as we see the decline of gas prices enter its eighth straight week,” GasBuddy’s Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis commented.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the least expensive gas station in Pennsylvania was $3.79 yesterday. The most expensive was $5.64 per gallon.
The national average price of gas has fallen 15.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.01 today. The national average is down is down 68.7 cents per gallon from a month ago and is 83.6 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
