Friends of Joseph Priestley House Celebrate Oxygen Discovery Sunday

 

Celebration of Oxygen Discovery with The Friends of Joseph Priestly House

NORTHUMBERLAND – This Sunday, the Friends of the Joseph Priestly House are holding their annual celebration of Priestley’s discovery of Oxygen.

The group will be introducing the new gardens on the grounds, they’ve planted a Forecourt Garden in front of the house and they’ll be revealing plans for the Pollinator Garden.

The Friends group says they’ll have music, and a number activities for adults and children will also be two sessions of Priestley experiments in the Pond Building at 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Tickets are required and can be obtained at the Visitor’s Center for free.

The Priestley House will also be open for free self-guided tours from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Within the house will be guides dressed in historical costumes who will be available to answer any questions. More information at joseph-priestley-house.org.
