Route 522 Transportation Study Meeting Coming Up
SELINSGROVE – Selinsgrove area residents will be able to provide input on the recommendations that are part of a transportation study on a three-mile section of Route 522. Organizers of the study say there has been heavy traffic volume and a high number of crashes.
SEDA-COG says they are holding a public meeting for the transportation conditions study recommendations Tuesday, August 16 at 5 p.m. It’ll be held at the Snyder County East building, located at 713 Bridge Street in Selinsgrove. Representatives from Snyder County, PennDOT, and SEDA-COG will be in attendance to hear the public’s questions and concerns.
The study includes recommendations which call for furthering the planning efforts at the regional level, more coordination with stakeholders, as well as operational or physical improvements.
Planning officials say they want to get ahead of this trend and proactively address existing transportation issues along that stretch of Route 522. More info at www.seda-cog.org
