DANVILLE – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) agrees with local Democratic leaders there’s a lot at stake in November’s General Election: “When they vote for Congress or if I were campaigning for a state representative or state senate candidate, there’d be a similar argument; but especially when you’re voting for Congress, I think people have to know what’s at stake.”
Senator Casey shared this view during an appearance at the ‘Vote For Your Rights’ Rally in Danville Friday night, hosted by the Montour County Democrats and Backyard Dems.
Casey says issues like abortion, guns, voter protection and the economy are what’s especially at stake this fall: “I also think the choice is pretty clear when it comes to the economy and the way forward; I mean, our side has been trying for many, many months now to get republicans to support measures that we’re trying to implement to reduce the cost that families are burdened with right now.”
Casey was joined by representatives from the John Fetterman and Josh Shapiro campaigns, as well as Amanda Waldman, the Democratic challenger for the 9th Congressional District against incumbent Republican, U.S. Representative Dan Meuser (R-9th, Dallas, PA).
